About Me.

Welcome to my Information Technology Blog! My name is Corey C Hill Sr., and this space is where I share my learning journey, reflections, and insights as I continue building my foundation in information technology and cybersecurity.

My background is unique because I bring both military discipline and personal training experience into the tech world. After serving in the Army for 20 years and later working as a fitness professional, I learned the importance of structure, strategy, and problem-solving. These same qualities are vital in IT, especially in fields like cybersecurity where attention to detail, persistence, and resilience are crucial.

I am currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity at The University of Arizona Global Campus. My career aspiration is to become a cybersecurity analyst, with a focus on cloud security and network defense. I am especially interested in learning how to identify threats, build secure systems, and apply frameworks like NIST and CIS Benchmarks to protect organizations from attacks.

Through this blog, I hope to document my growth as a student, reflect on class projects, and share how I apply technical concepts to real-world scenarios. My goal is for this blog to serve as both a personal record of progress and a resource for others who are new to IT or curious about cybersecurity.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I look forward to learning, sharing, and growing along the way.
